Body-beatboxing
Norwegian blog Lydverket has dug up an interesting twist on the concept of beatboxing. Whatever party trick you got up your sleeve, I'm guessing it won't top this. Head over to the original post for more videos.

Holy crap! I stopped playing video games some time ago, but this reignites my lust for some nerd-action. I guess I'll have to get myself an Xbox 360.

So Coachella started yesterday, and what do the people up north that are missing out do? We plan for next year and take comfort in the minimixes that celebrate what seems to be the best damn festival on the planet.
L.A. Times had LA Riot make them a Coachella Mix which obviously features artists perfoming this year:
Hot Chip — “Ready for the Floor (LA Riots Remix)”
Kavinsky — “Testarossa Autodrive (sebastiAn Remix)”
Justice — “DVNO (LA Riots Remix)”
Bonde Do Role — “Gasolina (Radioclit remix)”
Uffie — “Hot Chick”
M.I.A — “Bamboo Banga”
Kid Sister — “Control (LA Riots Remix)”
Cut Copy — “Saturdays”
Chromeo — “Needy Girl (Vandalism Remix)”
Boys Noize — “oh! (A-Trak Remix)”
Justice — “The Party (LA Riots Remix)”
Yelle — “A Cause des Garcons”

Cosmic Disco: MP3 blogs. Good or bad?
Mike Simonetti: I like them. I think it’s a good way to spread the word about new music and open people’s eyes to stuff. As I’ve said before, I’m not against giving music away free on blogs. I think it can only be a good thing.
When I record a track, I always think: "Would I like to listen to it and dance?" This is the way I like music, I want it to make me feel good
Just like they're supposed to, those Norwegian vikings stormed in and took over the show last night! Really proud to have these guys on. I wasn't planning on airing them on the same night, but it just ended up working out that way and sounds great. Please check them out!
Where/how was this mix recorded?
Since I don't own CD players, this mix is 31.7% vinyl, 29.2% Serato and 34.2% Acid Pro 6.0. Hehe. The last 4.9%? Overdubs. Done in my "studio" in Oslo.

“When making the mix, I played a sort of fictitious set at fabric on a night that doesn't exist. Musically, I tried to capture the techy, jackin' Chicago/SF side of the house spectrum - dubby, chunky tracks. I tried to pick tunes from all over the world. I picked a good variation of underground goodies, a lot of which are unreleased or hopefully not on any other compilations. Tracks that have a good "shelf life" but that aren't proven hits; hidden gems that might go over looked in this fast paced music era.”

I've always been a sucker for American tv shows and movies, and therefore when Hulu was launched I was pretty excited. For those of you who are struggling to keep up, Hulu is a website much like YouTube, but is owned by News Corp and therefore carries copyrighted material. This means you can stream not only clips, but full TV shows and movies.
Hulu hosts shows from NBC, Fox, USA, Bravo, FX and Sci Fi amongst others, which means you get access to Arrested Development, The Office, 30 Rock (Milf Island!), Battlestar Galactica, House, Nip/Tuck and lots of others! If you're not a TV buff, the site is packed with movies as well, and if you take a look around you'll notice the tons of great material lying around. And the best part is there is no registration necessary, no spam, no commercials, it's legal and it's free!
Unfortunately, Hulu blocks everyone that doesn't have an American IP adress, and if you're not in the states, all you get while trying to access the content is an annoying errormessage letting you know you're not wanted.
I've been waiting for it to open worldwide, but it doesn't look like that's happening any time soon, so I did some googling looking for a back door to get in.
The trick is to use VPN software, which basicly acts as a middleman between your non-US internet connection and Hulu, making it look you are surfing in the states. While this all sounds über geeky and complicated, it's actually dead simple.
All you have to do is download and install HotSpot Shield, fire it up, and head for www.hulu.com. It didn't work the first time I ran the software, but after I reconnected it worked like a charm and I've seen 3 episodes of The Loop without any glitches.Update
This method should in theory work with www.pluggedin.com as well. Although I haven't been able to verify this yet (I just read about it at school and don't have my HotSpot Shield available). Pluggedin.com seems like a cool new site trying to be the Hulu of musicvideos. You can read more about it over at TechCrunch.
